In Munai

"Helping children and adults to overcome the fear of sea is what we do. Everything we do is according to local traditions and customs. Our groups wear cloths just like everyone else in Munai and try to be one of them in every way," says Dr. Kandasamy Sithamparanathan, Head of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Director of the Animators Theatre Group. Dr. Sithamparanathan says maintaining the entire social structure is very important for people to get back to their normal life.

He also says local youth groups are being formed in many villages to do similar performances. "There seem to be tremendous co-operation from the people to form these local youth groups, which makes it possible to have them in place within the next six months."
